Chef's Choice Pure Multi-Purpose Bi-Carb Soda is food grade sodium bicarbonate and nothing else, drawn from mineral deposits of sodium bicarbonate and carrying no aluminium and no mercury. It is a fine white powder that dissolves cleanly and leaves no bitter aftertaste. Use it as the raising agent in scones, cakes, biscuits and soda bread, and around the kitchen as a mild scouring powder and deodoriser.

- Doubles as a gentle kitchen scourer and deodoriser.

Suggested Use
In baking, use it as the raising agent in the quantity your recipe calls for, sifted with the dry ingredients and paired with an acidic ingredient such as buttermilk, yoghurt, lemon juice or cream of tartar. Around the kitchen, dissolve a spoonful in warm water to wipe surfaces, or sprinkle it dry as a mild scouring powder. Confirm serving and directions from product label.
