Description
Brauer Daily Digestion & Regularity Probiotic for Kids is a powder in handy single dose sachets for children over two years of age, combining a Bifidobacterium lactis probiotic with acacia fibre and green kiwifruit. It supports bowel regularity by increasing stool bulk and maintains healthy digestive system function. With every dose already measured out, it is easy on busy mornings or when travelling.

Suggested Use
Each sachet is a single dose, stirred into water or another drink. Read the number of sachets a day and the age they apply to from the pack. Drink plenty of water.

Not to be used in children under two years of age. Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present, or if you develop diarrhoea. 1 sachet daily. To support bowel regularity: 1 sachet, twice daily (drink additional water between doses). Empty sachet into glass, add 150-200mL water or preferred cold drink and stir well.
Some residual fibre sediment after stirring is normal.

Common questions
Are all probiotics the same?
No, and the differences are real. A health effect shown for one strain belongs to that strain alone, not to its species or genus. Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 are the same species, but they've been studied for different uses. A label that only says "Lactobacillus" doesn't tell you much.
How do you read a probiotic strain name?
Read it in three parts. In Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Lactobacillus is the genus, rhamnosus is the species, and GG is the strain, the letters or numbers that identify the exact bacteria that were tested. Without that third part, you can't check what the research studied or match what a practitioner recommended.
Does a higher CFU count mean a better probiotic?
Not on its own. CFU counts the live organisms that can multiply, so it tells you how many, not whether they're the right ones, and a higher count isn't necessarily more effective. What matters is whether the strains have been studied, and whether the count is guaranteed to the expiry date rather than to the day it was made.
Do probiotics need to be refrigerated?
It depends on the product, so follow the label. Some hold their stated count at room temperature, while others lose live organisms if they're not kept cold. Spore-forming Bacillus strains are made to be stored at room temperature. Heat is the common enemy, so never add a probiotic powder to a hot drink.
