Description
Blackmores St John's Wort is a standardised herbal tablet containing Hypericum perforatum extract. Each film coated tablet supplies 300 mg of dry concentrated extract, equivalent to 1.8 g of dry flowering herb top, standardised to contain 990 micrograms of hypericin. St John's wort is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support healthy emotional and mood balance and to relieve nervous tension. This bottle holds 90 tablets, a 30 day supply at the label dose of one tablet three times a day.
Important: Medicine Interactions
St John's Wort affects the way many prescription medicines work, including the oral contraceptive pill. Consult your doctor. This is the warning statement required on the Australian listing for this medicine, and it is the single most important thing to know before buying. St John's wort can reduce how well a wide range of prescription medicines work, and taken with some medicines it can cause a serious reaction. If you take any prescription medicine at all, including the contraceptive pill, blood thinning medicines, antidepressants, anti-rejection medicines after a transplant, heart medicines or medicines for HIV, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before you start this product, and before you stop it. Do not start or stop St John's wort without telling the doctor who prescribes your medicines.

- Each tablet supplies 300 mg of Hypericum perforatum dry concentrated extract, equivalent to 1.8 g of dry flowering herb top, standardised to contain 990 micrograms of hypericin, so the active content is consistent from tablet to tablet.
