Blackmores Bio C 1000 + Effervescent puts a full gram of vitamin C into a glass of water alongside echinacea and 5 mg of zinc, in an orange flavoured tablet that dissolves rather than needing to be swallowed. Excipients: Beta vulgaris, citric acid, flavour, leucine, maltodextrin, polysorbate 20, riboflavin sodium phosphate, simethicone, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sorbitol and steviol glycosides. Zinc gluconate is the salt in the tablet and 5 mg is the elemental zinc it yields, which are two different numbers describing the same active.
Suggested Use
Adults: dissolve 1 tablet in a glass of water once a day. For added support from the echinacea, adults may take 1 tablet three times a day, for short term use only.
Warnings
Adults only. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Each tablet contains 322 mg of sodium, which matters if you are on a sodium restricted diet or manage blood pressure. Contains benzoates, sorbates, sugars and sulfites. Dietary supplements can only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate. If symptoms persist, change or worsen, talk to your healthcare professional. Echinacea is not recommended for people with autoimmune conditions or those taking immunosuppressant medicines without medical advice.
