Description
Benecos Natural Mat Lipstick in Wow is a stick lipstick from the German benecos range, certified natural cosmetics under the BDIH standard. Wow is a rich, warm raspberry red, the boldest of the matte shades, and the pigment load is high enough to lay down full colour in one pass. Apply it straight from the stick for an evening lip, or over a lip liner when you want the edge held sharp.

Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: A statement lip, and anyone after a deep red in a certified natural lipstick.
Not suitable for: A vegan routine, unless the pack in your hand shows neither beeswax nor carmine.
Suggested Use
Apply straight from the stick to the lips, or with a lip brush for a more precise edge. Outlining the lips with a lip liner first holds the colour in place. Exfoliating the lips beforehand evens out how the colour sits.
Ingredients (INCI)
Benecos has reformulated this lipstick, so packs carry one of two ingredient lists. Read the full ingredient list from the pack.
Both lists share the same core:
- Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, organically grown.
- Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Cera, a plant wax.
- An olive derived ester and a plant polyglyceride blend, which give the stick its glide.
- Tocopherol, vitamin E.
- Parfum, a natural fragrance composition carrying linalool.
- CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide) with CI 77491, CI 77492 and CI 77499 (Iron Oxides).
The original formula also carries Cera Alba (beeswax), silica and organic corn starch, which is what sets the matte finish.
Allergens
Cera Alba (beeswax) and carmine (CI 75470), an insect derived colourant, appear on the original formula for this line, so it does not reliably suit a vegan routine. The fragrance carries linalool, a declared fragrance allergen. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, with the cap on. The stick softens in warm weather.
