Description
Australian Pumpkin Seed Co Walnut Oil is a 250 mL cold-pressed oil made from walnuts grown in Victoria's High Country and the Riverina in New South Wales, pressed at Ovens in Victoria using traditional French methods. It is smooth, aromatic and earthy, and like all cold-pressed nut oils it is a finishing oil: the flavour is the reason to buy it and heat destroys it. Spoon it over salads, roasted vegetables, grain bowls and pasta, or whisk it into a vinaigrette; like all cold-pressed nut oils it belongs off the heat, which flattens the walnut flavour.
Product Strengths
- One ingredient: cold-pressed Australian walnut oil, with nothing added.
- Walnuts grown in Victoria's High Country and the Riverina in New South Wales, pressed at Ovens, Victoria.
- Cold pressed in small batches using traditional French methods.
- Smooth, aromatic and earthy, with the walnut flavour clearly present.
- Silver medal at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show 2025.
- A natural source of plant-derived omega-3 in the form of alpha-linolenic acid.
- At its best over salads, roasted vegetables, grain bowls and pasta, and in vinaigrettes.
- Gluten free and plant based, suitable for vegans and vegetarians. 250 mL bottle.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Those avoiding gluten; Vegans and vegetarians; Cooking and dressing.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; Anyone with a tree nut allergy, because it contains walnut.
Suggested Use
Use it as a finishing oil. Whisk it into a vinaigrette, spoon it over roasted vegetables, grain bowls or pasta, or drizzle it over a salad just before serving. Keep it away from high heat, which flattens the flavour and is hard on a delicate cold-pressed nut oil. Confirm serving and directions from product label.
Ingredients
- Cold-pressed Australian walnut oil (100 per cent).
Allergens
Contains walnut, a tree nut. It is not suitable for anyone with a tree nut allergy. The producer also presses almond, hazelnut, macadamia, pecan and apricot kernel oils and handles chocolate at the same site, and its packs carry a statement that machinery is shared with products that may contain traces of nuts and seeds, so cross-contact with other tree nuts should be assumed. Gluten free. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal after opening and use by the date on the pack. Refrigeration after opening helps protect a cold-pressed walnut oil, which is more prone to going off than a refined oil.
Disclaimer
This is a food, not a therapeutic good. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease and is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. Always review label for full list of ingredients. Keep out of reach of children.
