Description
Absolute Essential Oregano is a pure single essential oil distilled from the flowering plant Origanum compactum, in a 10 mL bottle. Its aroma is hot, dry and strongly herbaceous, and with key components carvacrol, gamma-terpinene, thymol and paracymene it is one of the most concentrated oils in the range. Use it sparingly in a diffuser or vaporiser, and always dilute it into a carrier oil before it goes anywhere near the skin.

Store the bottle upright with the cap closed, in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Light and warmth shorten the life of a plant oil.

Do not use in pregnancy or on children under 12 years. Use with caution on the skin due to irritant properties. Use in small dosage only. Always dilute in a carrier oil.
Carvacrol and thymol are the phenolic constituents behind oregano oil's well established irritancy to skin and to mucous membranes, and they dominate this oil.
