Ingredients
Citronella Essential Oil (100% pure, steam distilled from Cymbopogon nardus or Cymbopogon winterianus grass). Typical active components include citronellal (approx. 27.87%), geraniol (approx. 22.77%), geranial (approx. 14.54%), citronellol (approx. 11.85%), and neral (approx. 11.21%).
Directions for Use
Insect repellent (skin): Add 5–10 drops to a diffuser, or dilute in a carrier oil and apply to skin. For plants: Add 10–20 drops to warm water, shake well, and spray onto edible greens. Cat repellent: Dilute 20 drops in 200ml warm water and spray. Flea repellent (dogs): Mix 20 drops Citronella and 20 drops Eucalyptus Australiana in warm water; spray on dog bedding or stomach. Topical massage (normal skin): Dilute 1–2.5% (6–15 drops per 30ml carrier oil). Topical massage (sensitive skin): Dilute 0.5–1% (3–6 drops per 30ml carrier oil).
Storage
Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent oxidation.
Cautions
Undiluted oil is unsafe for oral ingestion. Do not apply near eyes, inner nose, or ears. Pregnant and nursing women should avoid use without medical guidance. Perform a patch test — mix 3 drops with a carrier oil and test for skin sensitivity before full use. Possible side effects include headaches, nausea, or skin irritation. Use only a 1% dilution (6 drops per 30ml) for children. Some people with asthma may be sensitive.
