Description
Mushroom Complex
What is a mushroom complex?
A mushroom complex brings several mushrooms, such as reishi, shiitake, lion's mane or cordyceps, together in a single powder or capsule. Every brand picks its own mix, so the label tells you exactly what's in yours and how much of each.

Is Mushroom Complex right for you?
Common questions
What's actually in a mushroom complex?
It depends entirely on the brand. A complex blends extracts of several mushroom species, often reishi, shiitake, lion's mane or cordyceps, but there's no set recipe. Two products with the same name can contain quite different species in quite different amounts, so the ingredient list on the label is the only way to know what you're buying.
Is a mushroom complex a listed medicine in Australia?
Not automatically. "Mushroom complex" isn't a named ingredient on Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1), and many mushroom blends are sold as food instead. Some species can be used in listed medicines under their Latin botanical names. If a product has an AUST L number, that listing sets what it can say, not the name on the front.
