Description
Karibee Jarrah Honey TA 25+ is a dark, thick honey from jarrah, Eucalyptus marginata, a tree found in the south west of Western Australia and nowhere else. Its rich caramel aftertaste is what sets it apart from a light table honey, and it is lovely on toast, with cheese, stirred into tea or used in baking. This is the raw TA 25+ grade in a 250 g size.
Product Strengths
- A dark, thick honey with a caramel aftertaste, for toast, cheese, tea and baking.
- From jarrah, Eucalyptus marginata, a tree found only in the south west of Western Australia.
- Raw jarrah honey.
- TA 25+ grading.
- 250 g size.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Anyone who wants a dark, caramel toned Australian honey rather than a light table honey.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; children under 12 months of age; anyone with a bee product or pollen allergy.
Ingredients
- Honey.
TA stands for Total Activity, a laboratory measure of a honey's activity against a phenol reference standard. It counts both peroxide activity and non peroxide activity, so a TA figure is not interchangeable with a UMF or an MGO figure, which count non peroxide activity only. There is no TA certification scheme, no TA trademark and no TA standard, so the TA 25+ grading on this pack is the producer's own.
Nutrition Information
Read the nutrition information panel from the pack.
Allergens
Honey is a single ingredient food and Australian labelling requires no allergen declaration for it. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
Suggested Use
Spread it on toast, spoon it over ice cream, stir it through tea or take it straight off the spoon. It also works in baking, where it stands in for sugar.
Warnings
Honey is not suitable for children under 12 months of age.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the lid closed. Raw honey crystallises naturally over time.
