Description
Simply Organic Turmeric is ground turmeric root, Curcuma longa, in a 67 g jar, with turmeric as its single ingredient. It is the spice that makes a curry powder golden, warm, earthy and faintly bitter, and it is strong enough in colour to stain a wooden spoon and a benchtop, so work over a board. Use it in curries, dals, rice, roasted vegetables, pickles and spiced drinks.

Suggested Use
- Cook it briefly in oil at the start of a curry or a dal, rather than adding it raw at the end.
- Stir a pinch into rice, roasted cauliflower and potatoes for colour.
- Use it in pickles, spice pastes and warm spiced milk drinks.
