Description
SuperFeast Tremella is a water extract powder made from the fruiting body of semi-wild Tremella fuciformis, grown on broad leaf hardwood chips and concentrated at 10:1, so ten kilograms of mushroom become one kilogram of extract. It tastes creamy, sweet and close to neutral, and it dissolves without much stirring. Mix a quarter to half a teaspoon into 250 mL of a hot or cold drink, or eat it straight off the spoon; it also carries through lattes, smoothies and desserts.
Product Strengths
- Mixes into hot and cold drinks, lattes, smoothies and desserts, and can be eaten straight off the spoon.
- Creamy, sweet and close to neutral in flavour, so it does not fight whatever it goes into.
- Dissolves easily rather than sitting on the surface.
- Tremella fruiting body and nothing else in the bag.
- A 10:1 water extract from semi-wild tremella grown on broad leaf hardwood chips.
- The one kilogram bag is the bulk size.

Tremella
What is tremella?
Tremella, also called snow fungus, is a mushroom with a long history. It comes mostly as an extract powder, on its own or blended into matcha or honey pearls, and it's one of the mushrooms permitted in Australian listed medicines.

Common questions
Is tremella allowed in Australian supplements?
Yes. Tremella fuciformis is on Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1, item 4993) with no conditions, no warning statement and no dose limit, so it can go into a listed medicine with an AUST L number. That isn't true of every mushroom. Lion's mane and chaga aren't on the list at all and are sold here as foods. Being permitted isn't a government endorsement of any product.
Why doesn't this page say what tremella does?
Because we couldn't find any human trial on it, or any citable record of its traditional use. Every search for tremella came back empty. The rules do allow a listed tremella medicine to use set wording about skin hydration, and that's covered above, but being allowed to say something isn't the same as a study result. We'd rather tell you that plainly than fill the gap with someone else's research.
