Description
Superfeast Lion's Mane is a single ingredient mushroom extract powder made from the dried fruiting body of Hericium erinaceus, the shaggy white mushroom whose cascading spines give it its name. The fruiting body is used rather than the mycelium, and it is water extracted at a 10:1 ratio, so 10 kg of dried mushroom goes into every 1 kg of powder. The mushroom extract is the only thing in the jar.
Superfeast sources it Dì Dào, the Chinese practice of growing a herb in the region it traditionally comes from. This lion's mane is grown in the shade on mature oak chips in China's Zhejiang and Heilongjiang regions, then sun dried before extraction. It is a fine, pale powder that dissolves without clumping and tastes mild and faintly nutty. Use it as a daily addition to hot drinks and cooking: stir it into coffee, cocoa or hot water in the morning, blend it into a smoothie, or add it to broths and savoury dishes.

- Made from the dried fruiting body only, never the mycelium.
- 10:1 water extract, so 10 kg of dried mushroom goes into every 1 kg of powder.
- Sourced Dì Dào from China's Zhejiang and Heilongjiang regions, shade grown on mature oak chips and sun dried.
