Dr Superfoods Tart Cherry Concentrate is a 473 mL bottle of 100% tart cherry juice concentrate, ready to become a glass of tart cherry drink in seconds. Just add a fifth of a glass of concentrate and top up with still water or soda water, so a single bottle goes a long way. Keep it in the fridge once opened and enjoy it over ice, with a meal or as a fruity alternative to soft drink.

What is tart cherry?

Tart cherry is the sour cherry, sold as juice, concentrate or extract. Pour the juice straight, mix the concentrate with water so a bottle goes further, or choose the extract if you'd rather skip the drink.

The evidence, and its limits

The Australian rules

Tart cherry and Montmorency cherry have no entry on Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1, Determination No. 2 of 2026). Plain cherry has its own entry, item 1336, and cherry distillate is item 1337, but neither has been confirmed to cover tart cherry specifically. Wild cherry bark, items 5213 and 5214, is a different part of the plant with its own limits. Tart cherry juice and dried fruit are legally sold in Australia as foods, outside medicines law. Not having its own entry isn't a ban. No approved health claim applies.
