Description
Maxine's BURN Protein Water is a collagen protein powder that mixes clear and drinks like a cordial rather than a milkshake. All of its protein comes from bovine collagen: Type I and III hydrolysed collagen peptides and Type II hydrolysed bone broth collagen, with L-leucine and L-tryptophan added alongside glycine, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, a digestive enzyme blend and a Bacillus coagulans culture. A 25 g scoop shaken into 400 to 600 mL of cold water carries 19.3 g of protein and 20.0 g of collagen peptides, with no fat and 0.5 g of sugars. It comes as the 400 g bag of 16 serves and the 800 g bag of 32 serves, in Mango Passionfruit, Refreshing Raspberry and Tropical Punch. Drink it between meals or after training when a creamy shake is not what you want.

Protein Water
What is protein water?
Protein water is a light, clear, ready-to-drink protein, so there's nothing to mix and it's easy to throw in your gym bag. It's refreshing rather than thick like a shake.

Is Protein Water right for you?
Common questions
What's the difference between protein water and a protein shake?
Both contain protein, usually from whey. A shake is milky and thick, and you often mix it yourself from a powder. Protein water is clear and thin, with a low-fat water base, and it comes ready to drink. Choosing between them mostly comes down to texture and convenience. Check the label for how much protein is in each serve.
Is protein water regulated as a medicine in Australia?
Usually not. Protein water has no entry of its own in Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1), because it's a type of drink rather than a single ingredient. One that makes no health claim is usually sold as a food under the Food Standards Code. If it's labelled as a sports food, FSANZ sets what the label has to say.
