Tribulus Terrestris
What is Tribulus terrestris?
Tribulus terrestris is the traditional puncture vine, a spiny plant sold here as a herbal extract. It usually comes on its own rather than in a blend, and Tribulus terrestris is the name it's listed under in Australia.

Is Tribulus Terrestris right for you?
Common questions
Is tribulus the same thing as puncture vine?
Yes. Puncture vine is the common name for Tribulus terrestris, a spiny fruiting plant. Australian rules list it by its botanical name (item 5001), so that's the name you'll see on a label, sometimes shortened to tribulus.
Is tribulus regulated as a medicine in Australia?
Tribulus terrestris is a permitted ingredient in listed medicines (item 5001), with no warning statement or dose limit recorded for it. We didn't find any permitted health claim wording for it, so this page doesn't say what a listed medicine may claim. Check the label of your product to see what it says.
