Description
QETOE Rice is a rice style grain made from just two ingredients, konjac flour and rice flour, in a handy 80 g sachet. Cover it with boiling water, let it stand and drain, or heat it in the microwave, then spoon over a curry, a stir fry or anything else you would serve with rice. The flat sachet stores neatly in the pantry, ready whenever you need it.
Product Strengths
- Two ingredients: konjac flour and rice flour.
- Ready with boiling water in 6 to 8 minutes, or in the microwave in about 1 minute.
- An 80 g sachet, so it stores flat in the pantry.
- Takes a sauce, a curry or a stir fry the way rice does.

Rice
What is rice used for?
Rice is the everyday grain used whole for cooking, as flour for baking, as flakes for muesli, and as noodles or pasta for dinner. It's the same grain in every pack, milled to suit what you're making.

Is Rice right for you?
Common questions
Is rice regulated as a medicine in Australia?
Not when you buy it to eat. Rice sold as a food falls under food standards law, so it doesn't need to be listed with medicines. Rice does appear in Australia's permitted ingredients list as item 4342, but only as an inactive ingredient, such as a starch used in a tablet, with no permitted health claim.
Why are there so many kinds of rice in one place?
They're all the same grain, prepared in different ways. Whole grains are cooked as a side or a meal base. Milled rice becomes flour for baking or thickening. Flattened rice becomes flakes for muesli, and rice dough becomes noodles and pasta. Choose the format first, based on what you're making, then choose the brand.
