Description
Honest to Goodness Organic Whole Black Peppercorns are the dried berries of the pepper vine, picked half ripe just as they begin to turn red and then dried until they darken and wrinkle. Ground fresh, they give the sharp, aromatic heat that pre-ground pepper loses within weeks of milling. It comes as the 1 kg pack, which is a bulk size for busy kitchens and refill jars. Fill a grinder and crack it over soups, stews, roasts and marinades, or crush the whole berries coarsely under the flat of a knife for a steak crust.
Product Strengths
- Plant based, so it suits vegan and vegetarian cooking.
- Drop the whole berries into a stock, a braise or a pickling brine.
- Certified organic. Honest to Goodness is certified by ACO (Australian Certified Organic).
- One ingredient, with no additives, no anti-caking agents and no GMO ingredients.
- Whole peppercorns rather than pre-ground, so the aroma stays in the berry until you grind it.
- Grown in India, the traditional home of black pepper.
- A 1 kg bulk pack for refilling grinders and for commercial kitchens.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Everyday snacking and meals.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients.
Suggested Use
Grind or crush over just about any savoury dish, from eggs and soups to roasts, marinades, curries and stews. Add cracked pepper at the end of cooking where you want the aroma to stay bright, and earlier where you want the heat to mellow into the dish. Whole peppercorns can also go straight into stocks, pickling brines and braises. Confirm serving and directions from product label.

Black Pepper Spice
What is black pepper?
Black pepper is the everyday spice made from Piper nigrum peppercorns, picked and dried before they ripen. Whole, cracked or finely ground, it's the same spice with a bold bite, so choose the grind that suits your cooking.
