Does a product need certification to be called organic?
In Australia, no. The ACCC states that organic certification is not legally required for a product supplied here to be described as organic, but a business making an organic claim must be able to prove it. If a label says certified organic, the certification must be genuine. The certified organic collection lists foods whose pages make that claim.
What do the product pages say?
The sunflower oil page describes a version fortified with omega 3 from chia and lists it as certified organic, halal and kosher. The raw sugar page says it is grown in South America without fertilisers, pesticides or other chemicals, and lists it as certified organic. The drinking chocolate page describes a blend of cocoa powder and natural sweeteners to stir into milk or coffee. None of the pages names a certifier, so the pack is the place to check.
