What is in the NOIA Chocolate collection?

Five 80g chocolate blocks from the Australian brand NOIA: Plain Dark with Reishi and Roasted Almond with Lion’s Mane, both 70% cacao, Dark Raspberry with freeze-dried raspberry, a 70% bar with rose, Turkish pistachio and turkey tail mushroom powder, and Plain Coconut Milk, a 50% cacao milk-style bar made with coconut milk powder instead of dairy. The product pages describe the bars as dairy free, and several also describe them as vegan and made with organic ingredients.

Where is NOIA chocolate made?

NOIA states on its own FAQ page that its chocolate is made in Australia, and that it imports its cacao directly from Peruvian cacao partners. It says it does not buy in premade chocolate to melt down. The ingredient lists on the raspberry and coconut milk pages show organic coconut sugar as the sweetener.

Are NOIA bars vegan and gluten free?

The brand states that its products are free from animal ingredients and gluten, and that it tests regularly for gluten. In Australia, Schedule 4 of the Food Standards Code sets the conditions for a gluten free claim: no detectable gluten, no oats and no malted gluten cereals.
