Nimbus Information

What is Nimbus milk powder?

Nimbus makes plant milk from a powder: add water, shake, and you have a drink on demand. The collection holds two soy milk powders, 240g and 400g, and two oat milk powders, 300g and 500g. The brand describes its range as Australian plant milk, and the oat powder product pages list Australian oats.

What is in each powder?

The soy powders list soybeans (92.4%), calcium carbonate, coconut sugar, salt and xanthan gum. The oat powders list Australian oats (93%), avocado oil powder, calcium carbonate, salt and xanthan gum. The 300g oat pouch makes 5 litres according to its product page.

What should I check on the label?

The soy powders contain soy, and the oat powders contain oats. In Australia, soy must be declared on food labels, and oats must be declared where they contain gluten. A gluten free claim has stricter rules and excludes oats altogether, so a food containing oats cannot carry that claim. For other plant-based options, browse milk health products.
