ingredients
Maitake mushroom (Grifola frondosa)
Apple cider vinegar (certified organic)
Dual-extracted then alcohol removed.
suggested dose
As the morning unfolds, shake your Maitake bottle and watch the sediment rise, a swirl of earth and energy coming to life.
Draw up one millilitre into the dropper, the liquid catching the soft light that filters through the kitchen.
Add it to a glass of water, an hour before the first sip of coffee.
The extract disperses slowly, tinting the water with a faint warmth. An unhurried beginning to the day.
Drink it in steady gulps. Let it move through you before the world asks for your attention.
The steadiness of Maitake works quietly: fuelling focus, metabolism, and rhythm long after the glass is empty.
Maitake
What is maitake?
Maitake is a functional mushroom people choose for its beta-glucans, sold as an extract with alcohol-free options too. Look for Grifola frondosa and a beta-glucan percentage on the label to choose a good one.

How the forms compare
Common questions
Why does maitake carry a warfarin warning?
Because Australian law requires it. Schedule 1 item 2456 says any maitake medicine taken by mouth must be labelled "Do not take while on warfarin therapy without medical advice." It's the only mushroom in this family with that rule. If you take warfarin, or any blood thinner, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start.
Is maitake good for blood sugar?
We can't tell you it is. We haven't found any human trial of maitake, for blood sugar or anything else. What we do know is that maitake in Australian listed medicines must carry the warfarin warning. We won't make a blood sugar claim without evidence, so if blood sugar is why you're shopping, talk to your doctor or one of our naturopaths first.
Is maitake allowed in Australian supplements?
Yes, with a condition. Grifola frondosa is item 2456 on Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1), allowed as an active ingredient taken by mouth, and these products must carry a warfarin warning. That lets a maitake product be a listed medicine with an AUST L number. It isn't a government endorsement, and a maitake food product can't make health claims.
