Micronised Creatine Monohydrate
What does creatine monohydrate do?
Creatine helps your muscles refill their energy during short, hard efforts like heavy lifts and sprints. Across 69 randomised trials it added weight to the squat and bench press. This version is milled finer, so it dissolves fast with less grit.

How the forms compare
Common questions
Does micronised creatine work better than regular monohydrate?
Not on the evidence so far. One small trial of a single branded ingredient reported a faster, higher creatine peak in the blood, but participants knew what they were taking and it hasn't been repeated independently. A 2022 review looked at every marketed form and found none better at delivering creatine than plain monohydrate. What micronising reliably changes is texture: a finer crystal dissolves faster and leaves less grit.
Do you need less micronised creatine because it dissolves faster?
No. The strength trials were based on 3 to 5 g of creatine monohydrate a day, and that dose doesn't change because the crystal is milled finer. Dissolving faster in a glass isn't the same as more creatine reaching your muscles, and no study has measured greater muscle uptake from micronised powder. Take the same number of grams you would with a standard scoop.
Is micronised creatine gentler on the stomach?
The evidence doesn't say either way. The creatine trials we've reviewed didn't compare stomach comfort between grinds. What's well established is that a large single dose in too little water is the usual cause of an upset stomach with any creatine, micronised or not. Splitting your dose and drinking plenty of water is what actually helps.
