What is in the Mast Chew collection?
Eight chewing gums from Mast Chew. The 8 piece sleeves are Original, Mint, Zero, Strawberry, Cinnamon and Original and Mint. Mint and Zero also come in 16 piece packs (Mint LRG and Zero LRG). The product pages describe a gum base of mastic tree resin with beeswax, flavoured with essential oils.
What is the difference between Zero and the other flavours?
The Zero sleeve lists three ingredients: organic (plant based) gum base, beeswax and essential mint oil. The other flavours also list xylitol and maltitol, which are sugar alcohols, and acacia gum as a glazing agent. Each flavour takes its taste from an essential oil: mint, strawberry, cinnamon or mastic.
Who makes Mast Chew?
SBS Food reported in 2018 that the gum is produced by Australian Food and Pharmaceutical Industries, a small family-owned company on the NSW South Coast. The Original product page describes the gum as Australian made and owned. We have not seen a current registry record, so the pack is the place to confirm the company details.
What should I check on the pack?
