Maharishi Ayurveda Information
What is in the Maharishi Ayurveda collection?
Bar soaps, oral care and tongue scrapers. The 100 g soap bars come as Pitta, Vata, Kapha, Neem, Jasmine and Rose, and the product pages describe a base of palm, palm kernel and rice bran oils. The Ayurdent oral care range covers Classic and Mild toothpastes, soft and ultra soft toothbrushes, a gum care oil spray and tongue scrapers in copper, stainless steel and silver plated finishes.
What does the BDIH/COSMOS NATURAL seal mean?
The soap bar pages state that each bar carries the BDIH/COSMOS NATURAL seal. Under the COSMOS-standard, the COSMOS NATURAL signature is for products that comply with the standard in all respects but do not meet the minimum organic percentages. We have not seen the certificates, so the pack is the place to confirm it. Browse more natural soap.
What do Pitta, Vata and Kapha refer to?
They are the names of the three doshas in Ayurveda, a traditional system, and the brand uses them to name its bars. We treat them as product names, not as claims about skin or health.
How do the toothpastes differ?
The Classic page describes a minty paste with spearmint, peppermint and clove oils, while the Mild page describes a non foaming paste that contains no fluoride and is not suitable for children. Both pages say to rinse and spit, not swallow. If you have a dental concern, speak with your dentist.
