Description
Macro Mike Plant Protein Water is a light, refreshing alternative to a creamy shake: a clear, fruit flavoured protein drink powder built on hydrolysed pea protein peptides with a blend of nine essential amino acids. Coconut water powder, vitamin C, four B vitamins and a probiotic round it out, sweetened with stevia. Choose Apple Blackcurrant or Pink Lemonade, and stir a serve into a large bottle of cold water to sip through a session, on a hot day or at your desk.
Product Strengths
- A light, clear drink for training, for a hot day or for sipping at a desk, in place of a thick milky shake.
- One serve goes into 750 mL to 1500 mL of water, so it doubles as the day's water bottle.
- Hydrolysed pea protein peptides with an added blend of nine essential amino acids.
- Vitamin C, four B vitamins and Probiotic LactoSpore (Bacillus coagulans).
- Flavoured with natural flavour, coloured with beetroot and gardenia extracts and sweetened with steviol glycosides.
- Twenty 15 g serves in the 300 g bag.
- The Apple Blackcurrant bag carries the HASTA certified product mark, used under licence.

Plant Protein
What does plant protein do?
Plant protein gives your muscles the protein they rebuild with after training, without any dairy. Soy has the most evidence, pea is the go-to if you avoid soy, and most tubs blend two sources.

Is Plant Protein right for you?
How the forms compare
Common questions
Is plant protein as good as whey for building muscle?
Close, going by the evidence. Soy has been compared with animal protein across nine training trials and came out level for both strength and lean muscle. A separate 12-week study found no difference between plant-based and mixed diets once total daily protein was matched. Neither result covers rice, hemp or blends.
Can I call any of these a complete protein?
We don't, and be wary of a powder that does without showing an amino acid test for that exact product. Blending two sources is the usual way manufacturers address it, but we don't have a confirmed amino acid comparison, so we won't claim one. The test results on the pack are what count.
Does soy protein lower cholesterol?
We can't tell you that here. We haven't been able to confirm a study on cholesterol or blood fats for soy or any other plant protein, so we won't make that claim. Cholesterol is a conversation for your doctor, and not a reason to choose one powder over another.
