Description
Macro Mike Almond Protein Pancake Mix is a dry pancake batter built on tapioca flour and rice flour with almond protein and rice protein, sweetened with coconut nectar and a little stevia. It comes as a 250 g bag in two flavours, Original and Double Choc Chip, and each bag holds four serves. Add plant milk, rest the batter for a few minutes and cook a stack of three to four pancakes in about 10 to 15 minutes, for a weekday breakfast, a weekend brunch or a sweet snack.
Product Strengths
- One serve makes a stack of three to four pancakes about 10 cm across, ready in about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Just add plant milk. No eggs, no butter and nothing else to measure.
- A breakfast and brunch mix that also works as a base for a sweet snack or dessert.
- A good source of protein, with 17.1 g in a 62.5 g serve of mix.
- Original is the plain buttermilk-style stack. Double Choc Chip adds cocoa and dairy free choc chips.
- Egg free, gluten free, dairy free and vegan friendly.
- Four serves in the 250 g bag.

Is Almonds right for you?
Common questions
What's the difference between almond meal and almond flour?
Meal is usually ground with the skins left on, so it's coarser and flecked brown. Flour is normally made from blanched almonds with the skins removed, so it's finer and paler. Recipes often use the names interchangeably, and either works in most baking. Check the pack if the colour or texture of what you're making matters to you.
Are almonds regulated as a medicine in Australia?
Almond is on the permitted ingredients list for listed medicines (item 476), where it's used as an inactive ingredient (excipient). But almonds sold as food, whether whole or as meal, butter, oil or milk, come under food standards law instead, not medicine rules. We couldn't find a permitted health claim specific to almonds.
