What is in the Legendary Foods collection?

Two protein baked snacks from the US brand Legendary Foods. The Legendary Protein Pastry comes in 61g packs in seven flavours, and the Legendary Protein Sweet Roll comes in 67g packs in chocolate, cinnamon and wildberry. The product pages describe a protein blend built on micellar casein and whey protein isolate with collagen peptides. Do the pastry and sweet roll contain milk?

Yes. Our sweet roll listing states that it contains milk (dairy protein), and the brand’s own Blueberry Protein Pastry and Cinnamon Protein Sweet Roll pages both state “Contains: Milk”. In Australia, milk must be declared on the label of a packaged food, so the pack sold here is the place to confirm the allergen statement for your flavour.

Does “no gluten-containing ingredients” mean gluten free?

Not necessarily. Our sweet roll listing says it is made with no gluten-containing ingredients. A gluten free claim has its own conditions under Schedule 4 of the Food Standards Code: no detectable gluten, no oats or oat products, and no malted gluten-containing cereals. We have not seen test results or a certificate for either product, so we do not describe them as gluten free.
