Description
Kiwiherb Children's Organic Throat Syrup is a honey based liquid that brings together echinacea, thyme and honey. Each millilitre carries Echinacea purpurea root extract liquid 50 microlitres, equivalent to 25 mg of dry root, Thymus vulgaris herb extract liquid 80 microlitres, equivalent to 40 mg of dry herb, and honey 150 mg, in a base of manuka and thyme honey with lemon oil. For children from two years, it is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to relieve symptoms of sore throat and of the common cold.
Product Strengths
- Echinacea purpurea root extract liquid 50 microlitres per mL, equivalent to 25 mg of dry root per mL.
- Thymus vulgaris herb extract liquid 80 microlitres per mL, equivalent to 40 mg of dry herb per mL.
- Honey 150 mg per mL, in a base of manuka honey and thyme honey with lemon oil.
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to relieve symptoms of sore throat, and to decrease, reduce or relieve symptoms of mild throat infection.
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to decrease, reduce or relieve symptoms of the common cold, and to relieve symptoms of mild upper respiratory tract infections.
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to maintain and support the immune system to fight illness.
- Two bottle sizes, 100 mL and 200 mL, with a dose table that starts at two years. AUST L 335155.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Children from two years to twelve years, taken by the millilitre against the age bands on the pack.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; infants under the age of twelve months, because the syrup contains honey; children under two years of age without medical advice; and anyone with a known allergy to plants of the Asteraceae, or daisy, family.

Suggested Use
Children 2 to 4 years: 2.5 to 4.5 mL. Children 4 to 6 years: 4.5 to 6 mL. Children 6 to 12 years: 6 to 10 mL. Take three to five times daily.

Allergens

Children 2-4yrs: 2 - 6ml,
Children 5-9yrs: 3.5 - 9ml,
Children 10-12yrs: 6 -10ml.
Take 3 - 5 times daily.
May be taken undiluted or in a small amount of water or juice.
Precautions
Those allergic to Asteraceae family plants (eg chamomile, artichokes, daisies) should take care when taking Echinacea due to possible allergic reaction. A tingling or numbering sensation may occur in the month immediately after taking - this is normal and indicative of the quality & potency of Echinacea.
