Dr. Bronners Pure-Castile Bar Soap

Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile Bar Soap is a 140 g bar of true soap, made in the USA by saponifying coconut, palm, olive, hemp seed and jojoba oils rather than blending synthetic detergents. Baby Unscented is the one bar in the range with no fragrance and no essential oil in it at all, so the only smell is the faint one the oils themselves carry. It is the bar to reach for when you would rather wash without a scent, on your own hands and face or on a baby, keeping it well away from the eyes.

Not suitable for: Use in or around the eyes. It is not a tear free formula.

Suggested Use

Wet the bar and lather it on wet hands or a washcloth to wash the hands, face and body, then rinse. For hair, rub the wet bar into very wet hair, lather and rinse, then follow with a diluted apple cider vinegar or citrus hair rinse. For a bath, add 60 mL of grated bar soap or 120 mL of soap cream to running warm bath water; it does not bubble but it still cleans. For shaving, lather the bar over the area to build a creamy foam, or cut a piece to sit in the bottom of a shaving cup and whip up the lather with a wet brush. For makeup removal, lather the bar on to wet hands, massage into the skin and rinse.

The same bar is used around the house. For handwashing dishes, rub a dishcloth or brush on the bar, or dissolve 30 mL of grated bar soap or 60 mL of soap cream in about 6 L of very warm running water. For mopping sealed wood, laminate and stone floors, add 15 mL of grated bar soap or 60 mL of soap cream to 4 L of hot water, then dunk the mop and wring it out thoroughly. To make soap cream, dice the bar into cubes, soak in 960 mL of water for 24 hours and blend on the lowest speed.

Keep out of eyes. If contact occurs, flush your eyes with water for 15 minutes. Consult a physician if irritation persists.

Storage

Keep the bar on a draining soap dish between uses so it dries out, and store spare bars in their wrapper in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A bar left sitting in water will soften and wear away faster.
