Desert Shadow

Desert Shadow's range includes pure henna shades (Sun, Strawberry, Copper, Red and Deep Red Shadow) and henna blended with amla and indigo for deeper, cooler tones (Honey, Caramel, Chestnut, Deep Chestnut, Walnut and Chocolate Shadow), plus cassia-blended shades. The brand's published ingredient list doesn't include PPD, ammonia or peroxide.

Henna dyes work by coating the hair shaft with colour rather than stripping your natural pigment first, so the result depends heavily on your starting hair colour and how much grey you have — the same shade can look different on different people. Always patch test and check the shade guide before choosing a colour, especially if you're covering a lot of grey.

The range also includes a Habitat shampoo and conditioner (full-size and travel-size), a Habitat Shine hair mask, an Organic Hair Silk oil, and a Pre Colour Wash Bar to prepare hair before dyeing.
