Soya Beans
What are soya beans?
Soya beans are the bean behind tofu, tempeh and soy milk. Enjoy them whole, as edamame, or in all sorts of everyday foods, and choose what suits your cooking.

Is Soya Beans right for you?
Common questions
Are soya beans regulated as a medicine in Australia?
Mostly, no. Soya bean is a permitted ingredient in listed medicines, as item 4694 and, under the name Glycine max, item 2414 on Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1). But whole beans, tofu, soy milk and other soy foods are sold as food, under food standards law. We haven't found an approved health claim for soya bean.
