Description
Hiltona Organic Prunes are moist, unpitted dried prunes in a 250 g pack, certified organic by ACO. With just one ingredient, organic prunes, they are an easy pantry staple: enjoy them straight from the pack as a snack, add them to your breakfast bowl, or stew them gently into a simple compote. Pop the pack in the fridge once it is open so they stay lovely and moist.

Prune
What are prunes?
Prunes are dried plums, sweet and sticky, and lovely for snacking or cooking. You can buy them whole or as juice. The juice is ready to drink, and the concentrate is a thicker version you mix into water.

Is Prune right for you?
Common questions
Are prunes regulated as a supplement in Australia?
No. Prunes and prune juice are sold and eaten here as ordinary food, so they sit outside the rules for medicines. Prune isn't listed as an active ingredient in Australia's permitted ingredients list (Schedule 1), and that isn't a ban. It simply reflects that prunes are a food. No permitted health claim applies to them.
Can a supplement contain prune?
Only as a flavour or a fragrance. Schedule 1 lists PRUNE JUICE (item 4186) and PRUNE JUICE CONCENTRATE on that basis, combined with other permitted ingredients and with total flavour no more than 5%. That covers prune as a flavouring, not as the active ingredient, and it doesn't support any health claim.
