Description
Gold Standard Gainer is Optimum Nutrition's high energy powder for people trying to eat more than they comfortably can from food alone. It comes as the 2.27 kg tub in Vanilla, barcode 748927055412. It is built on a four way dairy protein blend led by isolates, with carbohydrate from oat flour, pea starch and potato starch alongside maltodextrin, and fats from medium chain triglycerides, chia and flax. The powder is instantised so two scoops break up in a shaker cup. This is a United States pack, so any panel printed on it is a Nutrition Facts panel with energy in calories, not an Australian Nutrition Information Panel.
Product Strengths
- 55 g of protein in a two scoop serve.
- 112 g of carbohydrate in the same serve, roughly a 2:1 carbohydrate to protein ratio.
- Four protein sources: whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, milk protein isolate and hydrolysed whey protein isolate.
- Carbohydrate comes from oat flour, pea starch and potato starch alongside maltodextrin, not from sugar alone.
- Fats from medium chain triglycerides, milled chia seed and flaxseed protein.
- Instantised so it mixes in a shaker cup without a blender, and banned substance tested.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Active adults and athletes.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients; Vegans, because it contains a dairy ingredient; Children under 15 years of age, and pregnant women, except under medical or dietetic supervision; Anyone avoiding soy.

Suggested Use
For weight gain, mix 2 scoops into about 20 fl oz of cold water or milk, roughly 590 mL, in a shaker cup and shake for about 30 seconds. For a smaller serve, 1 scoop in about 10 fl oz, roughly 300 mL, can be used between meals, after training or before bed. Confirm serving and directions from product label.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place with the lid or clip closed. Contents are sold by weight, not volume, so some settling is normal.
Safety
This is a high energy food supplement, not a meal replacement and not a sole source of nutrition. It contains no added caffeine. Not suitable for children under 15 years of age or pregnant women except under medical or dietetic supervision, and not suitable for people with a milk or soy allergy.
This product is not a sole source of nutrition and should be used in conjunction with a nutritious diet and an appropriate physical training or exercise programme. Not suitable for children under 15 years of age or pregnant women: should only be used under medical or dietetic supervision. This information is general in nature and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional. Always read the label and use only as directed.
Disclaimer
Always read the label and use only as directed. This is a formulated supplementary sports food and should be used with a balanced diet and exercise program.
