Description
Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy plus Electrolytes is the powdered version of the brand's anytime energy drink. Each serve carries a 5 gram blend of fourteen micronised amino acids, 100 mg of caffeine from green tea leaf and green coffee bean, and a 440 mg electrolyte blend, for 5 calories and no sugar. It comes as four flavours: Juicy Strawberry, Pineapple, Tangerine and Watermelon. Mixed with cold water, it is used as an afternoon pick-up or before a lighter session, with the electrolytes there for training that brings on a heavy sweat.

The amino blend contains micronised taurine, L-glutamine, L-arginine, L-leucine, beta-alanine, L-citrulline, L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-tyrosine, L-histidine, L-lysine hydrochloride, L-phenylalanine, L-threonine and L-methionine. Also contains citric acid, malic acid, natural and artificial flavour, calcium silicate, silicon dioxide, a gum blend, sucralose, acesulfame potassium and sunflower and/or soy lecithin. Colours and flavouring vary between flavours.
Suggested Use
Mix two scoops (9.5 g) into 300 to 355 mL of cold water for about 30 seconds until dissolved. Drink first thing in the morning, before exercise, as an afternoon lift or at any time of day. Confirm serving and directions from product label.
