Metagenics UltraProbioplex is a practitioner-only medicine. It is intended to be used on the advice of a qualified healthcare practitioner, who will decide whether it is appropriate for you and at what dose.
Metagenics UltraProbioplex is a hard capsule supplying 500 mg of bovine colostrum powder from pasture-fed cows, with zinc, iodine and selenium alongside it. Colostrum is the first milk a cow produces after calving and naturally carries immunoglobulins, growth factors and trace minerals. It comes as the 80 capsule bottle, which is 20 days at the labelled dose of four capsules a day. The capsules are nutritional support for normal healthy immune function, which is what the colostrum immunoglobulins and the added selenium are in the formula for.

Bovine colostrum contains lactose and cow's milk proteins, so it is not suitable for anyone with a dairy allergy or lactose intolerance, and it is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. The formula is free from corn, eggs, gluten, wheat, nuts, yeast, soy protein, starches and salt, and free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Always review label for full list of ingredients.
Warnings
Products containing bovine colostrum powder contain lactose and cow's milk proteins. Not suitable for use in children under the age of 12 months except on professional health advice. This medicine contains selenium, which is toxic in high doses; a daily dose of 150 micrograms of selenium for adults from dietary supplements should not be exceeded.
