Description
Lotus Carob Powder is finely milled carob, the roasted pod of the carob tree, packed in a 250 g bag. Carob has its own mild sweetness and a caramel note, and Australian home bakers reach for it as an alternative to cocoa powder in cakes, biscuits, slices and warm drinks. It is a loose, fine powder that sifts into a dry mix and blends straight into a smoothie without cooking. Swap it for cocoa powder in cakes, biscuits, slices and warm drinks, and pull the sugar back a little as you go, because carob is sweet in its own right and has none of cocoa's bitterness.
Product Strengths
- Swap it for cocoa powder in cakes, biscuits, slices and warm drinks.
- Carob powder is the only ingredient in the bag.
- Mildly sweet in its own right, unlike unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Fine enough to sift into batters or blend into cold drinks.
- 250 g pantry bag.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Everyday snacking and meals.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients.
Ingredients
- Carob powder.
Allergens
