Description
Honest to Goodness Organic Tricolour Quinoa is a blend of white, red and black quinoa seed grown in Bolivia. The three seed colours cook at broadly the same rate but keep slightly different textures, so the finished grain stays loose and separate instead of collapsing. It is the 500 g bag. Cook it and serve it as a side, fold it through a salad, or use it in a stuffing, where the three seed colours stay visible on the plate.
Product Strengths
- Serves in place of rice or couscous for anyone avoiding gluten.
- Certified organic white, red and black quinoa seed.
- Grown in Bolivia, quinoa's traditional growing region.
- Quick cooking and holds its texture in salads and bowls.
- 500 g bag.
Suitable For / Not Suitable For
Suitable for: Those avoiding gluten; Everyday snacking and meals.
Not suitable for: Anyone with an allergy to the listed ingredients.
Serving Suggestion
Rinse in a fine strainer under cold running water until the water runs clear, which washes off residual saponin, the natural bitter coating on the seed. Then cook as you would rice and use it in place of rice alongside stir-fries, stews and meat dishes, or cold through salads. Confirm serving and directions from product label.
Ingredients
- Organic white, red and black quinoa seed.
Allergens

ingredients
Organic white, red and black quinoa seed
suggested dose
Before use, be sure to wash the quinoa thoroughly to remove the saponin which is a natural bitter seed coating that the quinoa has. Add 1 part quinoa to 2 parts water or stock, bring to the boil then cover and simmer for 15 mins. Once cooked a tiny white spiral appears encircling the grain. It is a great alternative to rice so use it to accompany soups, stews, stir-frys, meat dishes or salads.
