With a heady, delicate floral aroma, Ylang Ylang essential oil is an excellent addition to skin care blends, widely used in perfumery and has a reputation as an aphrodisiac.

Ylang Ylang is a sensuous and uplifting oil that promotes joy and enthusiasm. Long considered an aphrodisiac oil, Ylang Ylang has a history of being scattered on the beds of newly weds to create an erotic atmosphere and calm nerves. It is an excellent oil for stress relief, add to massage blends, bath blends, vaporisers and spritzers to relieve stress, anxiety and stress related conditions including those characterised by high blood pressure and other cardiac symptoms. Ylang Ylang is also useful in facial oils and facial steams for normalising oily skin and in the treatment of acne and insect bites.

Blends well with: all citrus oils, clove, ginger, sandalwood, vetiver, jasmine, clary sage, patchouli, rose, petitgrain.
Precautions
Use in those with low blood pressure. Do not take internally ÛÒ highly toxic. Essential oils should always be blended with a base oil (such as sweet almond oil) before being applied to the body.
