What you wash your skin with determines so much more than whether it's clean or not. So, it’s a gosh darn mystery to us why cleansers are the most overlooked product (poor cleansers) in any skincare routine. Whilst skin needs to be clean, an overbearing cleanser can cause of dryness, irritation and even breakouts. Before you start blaming your skin troubles on everything else (although late night parties don’t do your skin any favours), there’s a more-likely culprit we can point our fingers at…the outdated commercial cleanser right under our noses. Boo!

It’s common to think that blasting your skin to oblivion with harsh detergents or bleaching ingredients will keep the blackheads at bay and stop the pimples from parading, but we’re here to tell you that stripping the skin of its natural oils just leaves it dreadfully dry, damaged and dually distressed. The sebum in our skin (natural oils that it makes) helps keep it moisturised and in fine form, but if its constantly washed away, your skin could kick into oil-making overdrive, causing cloggage and congestion which can lead to even more breakouts – not exactly the result we were going for. But it’s hard to undo decades of skincare superstitions and the hard-wired hogwash swirling around out there. Old-school untruths like using oils on your skin gives you pimples, or that skin should feel tight after it’s been cleaned.

Our skin-friendly foaming formula is made with gentle, but effective, naturally derived cleansing ingredients that pump into a dreamy, foamy, meringue-y mousse. Designed to dissolve dirt, makeup and debris from the day and clear away dead skin cells to keep your face looking fierce and feeling fresh. We steer clear of harsh ingredients like SLS that foam up well but is also found in just about every hardcore cleansing product, including floor cleaners and engine degreasers – our face says no thanks! We made this caring, non-comedogenic (aka non-clogging) cleanser so we can have all the bougie bubbles without causing any skin troubles.

It gets down and dirty to combat congestion, banishes bacteria, washes away excess oils and helps regulate oil production (a contributing factor to the formation of blemishes) to prevent the bummer of breakouts. Like the cherry to top it all off, we included some Papaya Fruit Extract to clarify the skin with gentle, enzymatic exfoliation that dives deep into pores and helps remove rough, flaky skin to ditch drabby dullness. And because we make all our products for people with sensitive skin, and blemish-prone skin is often just that, we popped in a pinch of Calendula Extract to help calm and soothe breakouts, pimples and redness. Gentle enough to be used every day, morning and night, and perfectly suitable for all ages and skin types, including the fussiest of teenagers.
