Bergamot (Citrus aurantium) fruits are grown in the Calabrian region of Southern Italy and contain a combination of bergamot flavonoids. Bergamot citrus extract is naturally high in flavonoids and these compounds are believed to be the reason that Bergamot displays positive effects on healthy cholesterol levels.
