    Organic Sorghum flour is a gluten-free flour making it a suitable alternative for people sensitive to wheat and other grains which contain gluten. Sorghum flour is rich in fibre, protein, calcium, iron and potassium. Organic Sorghum flour has a smooth texture and a mildly sweet taste ideal for gluten-free baking.


    Suggested dose


    Sorghum flour has a mild flavour making is suitable for baking as it does not alter the taste. It is traditionally used for making pancakes, fermented porridges and flatbreads. It can be substituted in any recipe that uses flour including cakes, breads, and muffins. When baking with sorghum flour it will produce a drier product which is likely to crumble. Extra ingredients and binding agents must be added to reduce dryness such as baking powder, extra butter or oil, eggs or cornflour. 15% to 20% of sorghum flour can be added to your flour mixes to make delicious and more nutritious breads, cakes, and cookies.
